Transmongolia – Spectacular Horseriding

Summer 2015 we spend three weeks in Mongolia, to explore the country. Starting in Ulanbaata, we made our way west via Mini-Goby, Karakorum Temple District and Orkhon Valley by car, to pick up our horses. In ten days we made more than 200km until Therkiin Tsagan Lake and Khorgo National Park. We climbed back in our Off-Road Cars and made it up north through the mountains to Lake Khovsgol, close to the Russian border. We spend another 8 days, with packing horses out in the wilderness, before we had top go back home.

The county is really stunning! The people are lovely and the horses wild, could it be better? Yes! We were extremely lucky with the weather. Temperatures were in between 30 and 5 degree and ther was hardly any rain, except for the last riding day.
