About me:
I was born back in 1969 in Hamburg, one of the (if not it) most beautiful cities in the world, as a son of a sailor. I think that has influenced my live in a way… Fortunately I am lucky to still live there, but every now and then I am getting itchy feet. I always had a favour for places apart from mass-tourism, I tried Kenya, and then lived in Khao Lak, Thailand for a couple of years, at a time when there were way fewer tourists and hardly any resort at all… In 2004 the Tsunami came, and I didn’t go back for a while…
In 2009 I met Tanja – a story of it’s own – and we fit perfectly! In my eyes, there is quiet a number of superlatives related to her, she is the most enchanting, smartest and loving person of all. One might say contradictions attract each other, so I am the lucky guy to be married to her since 2014. We have been to more amazing places together than I could ever have hoped for. She supported me during my studies in business economics in Kiel and is always open minded for new insights and horizons to conquer, which come to our mind.
We live in amazing times! No man ever before had the possibility to learn as much as we can, travel further, and communicate as fast as we do. Still, egoism, greed and violence seem to have grown in the same way, since we are more and more driven by numbers and trained to consume. I do not obey to this! I do believe in humanity and in talking to each other and support each others talents, instead of pointing out each others flaws. Since the world is ours, we are the only ones to make it a better place!
